The HSIDTM interface takes advantage of a continuous flow of hot gas that forms a barrier preventing most of the ions or clusters from hitting the side walls. It also acts as a constant cleaning agent that will flush away any potential deposits, minimizing cleaning maintenance. Here we also report a robustness stress test that demonstrates the effectiveness of these technologies. These guarantee the stability of performance and reduce cleaning maintenance, especially for high-throughput analysis with challenging matrices, compared to traditional LC-MS / MS technologies.
